Trailblazer, called me yesterday to go out and explore the northern end of the Bako zone. We met up at around 3:30pm and headed out to the first spot. Clear clear water and no flow. We fished it hard. TB was working the top water and had several blow-ups before he finally nailed one. TB can work that top water magic with the best. Got a few strikes on the Fluke, but nothing stuck. We headed to the second spot, and on TB's first cast he gets blown up like four times. Nothing like seeing that happen. (BTW, I've never caught on the TW or had a top water blow up.)
I'm working the LC110 for nothing, meanwhile, TB lands two more on TW. I finally cave and tie on a B71. TB coaches me up and I start working TW. (Nice having a pro around.) It's way harder than it looks, but after 15-20 minutes, I get blown up and of course do exactly what your not supposed to do and try to set the hook. Lucky for me, Mr. Stripey kept blowing up on it and finally I was hooked up. My first TW catch. I was totally stoked and I think the big guy was as happy if not more so than me!

I got one more blow up and TB probably had 20+ blowups, farmed several and landed at least 6 and had biggest catch of the day.
Must see video of TB landing the biggest one of the day on TW.

Got dark and it seemed like we had fished out this spot. Moved onto the third and final spot. I now know how TrailBlazer got his name. He was literally blazing trails last night. Damn farmers putting in new fields, jacked up the roads. But being the trail blazer that he is, it was no problem making a new road to get us in. First cast at these gates and I'm hooked up. Couple of minutes later and TB is hooked, and then again and again and again. These fish were slamming the LC's hard. Lost track of the exact fish count, but for the day we were definitely in the 15-20 range with TB out fishing me 3 to 1. Dude is the TW master and it's crazy how many blow ups he generated today
TB, thanks again for calling me and getting me on my first TW fish. I'll never forget that. Good times fo sho!!!!!!
