Short report:
Location: Cherry Beach
Conditions: Sunny/cloudy, outgoing tide, Water clarity 1-2 feet
Wet: 1300
Dry: 1430
Method of Destruction: Performance Tackle wrapped Phenix TRX 905-2 paired with a Stradic 2500 CI4, Zoom fluke on a Owner worm #1/0 hook.

Long report:
Decided to take a quick trip to cherry. Grabbed the 9' drop shot rod / baits/hooks and my waders. Rain had finished for the day so I utilized it. Made all kinds of casts around the muck with little results other than plastics bags and gunk. I worked my way down the beach a little bit to get out from the salad and gunk. Still yielded no result. No biters or nibbles.

I did manage to find a turtle laying on his back when I was walking down the beach. I thought he was dead until I tapped him with my foot. He retracted into his shell, then I did what anyone would do and flipped him back right side up. Snapped a picture and hoped for the best. Weird to see a red ear slider in the surf.

Anyways..
Until next time..

Should have relocated him. They come down the river. Best to avoid LB for a week after a rain, at least stay out of the water.
Did you catch any WSB or BSB ?

That's 2 turtle reports from lb now. I would have been excited to see one! Great job helping the little guy out.

Cool find, but he belongs in the fresh water, won't survive in the s/w,once while we were headed of LB harbor we saw some really big fish floating on the surface,as we got closer we realized they were huge 15lbs or so carp, they really looked like they had just died, obviously washed down the river channels into the harbor, you never know what you'll find in and around the ocean.
