and old client who usally goes out this time of the year ,had me take him out today,sean has a i/d sensetive job so no internet display of his image. sean rolled just after opening we hit the water ,then got slammed by a couple bass real quick.as we worked are way out of the channel i could see a certain depth with alot of fish,ran the u-rigs at that depth for no hits , so i switched to the CORY SPECIAL X-RAP and it was on . sean got the crap scared out of him on the lite line and the crazy fights thes schoolies gave him the 3 bigger ones were al least 5lbrs and yoked fat,my pics didnt do them justice, but everytime we hit a hump with marks on it we got slammed .after a pretty good morning the bite slowed, sean was happy and ended the day early he had some fat filets to get to so he cut out . leaving me the aftenoon to scout ,i tried numerous bait spots but they were not happy,oh well thats how that goes,,the thank agan sean,look forward to seeing you again next year,,bob,,the magic depth was 47ftdown

Nice job Bob, good to see you back in the saddle and producing some nice fish on the winter troll.
Around New Years I also tried some Pyramid bait scouting and found it much different from last winter. They just weren't in the some of the old good spots.
I did find some non-stop bite action from the micro-dink set in one area but it was more trouble than it was worth. We'll keep chasing them till we find 'em!

That's funny I caught with my clients flat lining Thurs and Mon ,Thurs we did get deep fish off the Dr ,its a lot easier than running ten colors of lead ,trying to reach 75ft down...............

I love those x-rap Rapalas. I go through them so fast I buy them in bulk on ebay. Doesnt hurt quite so bad when I snag one up.............................but still stings.
