Decided to hit the lake for an AM session before superbowl festivities started, hit spot #1 along the West Shore and was greeted by another beautiful sunrise.

The spot was dead with the exception of the carp slaying going on to my right...pretty cool watching the guys do battle on those 12+ foot rods without reels.
After a few hours I decided to hit the spot Bebop suggested from the day before....if for nothing else the view was beautiful.

Get both rods set up and promptly farmed my first bite of the day, after 3+ hours of nada :Angry:Baited up and threw back to the same spot in hopes of some redemption. About that time a group of kids came by and asked if I caught anything, to which I replied "not yet, but I think you guys are my lucky charms"....they seemed to find some humor in that, but said they were not very lucky today because their Dad did not catch anything so far either. A few minutes went by and my indicator started getting jiggy with it, a quick hookset and game on....handed the rod to one of the girls and had little brother play net man. SKUNK OFF! :Big Grin: Got back in the water and rod #2 starts going off and then rod#1 goes off again for a double hook-up. Everyone got a chance to fight or net a fish and the result was priceless.

Don't forget the kids on the 22nd!
