dave called me and asked if thurs was open i said yep ,so it was on we both knew there was a front lurching in and the the moon cycle was dead opon the new moon phase ,so both of those things normally mean very good big striper fishing with the massive cloud cover.we hit the water and tossed trout swimbaits for a little while near the marina but the only problem so were the other forty boats that were there, every greencarp boy in the county was throwing big troutbaits ,so with that much commotion we put the trout rods down and started the scounting for mr stripey, today was a little different i told dave he was driving and to go where ever he wanted and i would run tackle as he drove and worked the graph.after some adjustments of lures and depths we were running thru a whole lot of bif big fish schools bunched up in attack mode cruising on bait but we coouldnt get them to go ,and we spent a lot of time on the fish arm running thru school after school they just were not turned on we got a couple paddle tails nipped off but that was about it.so it was over to the other side of the lake, i brought some bait today and the gear but dave didnt want any part of it ,hes turned into a artifical's only guy which makes me very proud of his effort to become a very good fisherman. so we kept rolling then we finally started to hit some fish for the deadwell. we saw alot of bait guys but they were not doing well and the swimbait guys were spread out all over the lake and they were not catching , so to get some fish on a horrible bite really felt good and dave more than understood that , just cause conditions seam perfect it doesnt always mean the fish feel the same way . so of the best action was on the bubble hole dave worked it like a master for some fish , we got cold and wet all day but it was a really good day especially when we snagged a bako-boy urig off a hump up the fish arm and we had our souveneir rusted up rig......lol.............thank you dave for going out and you did pretty good at driving which is harder than it looks and its hard going from one style boat to the next and be perfect on youre runs thru the trolling lanes,,,,,bob

Troll wasn't easy.

Sitting on stocked trout as a dinner bell is the easy

Bob, thanks again for the day on the water, and for allowing me to attempt to put us on the fish.....That is a tall order coming from you, with the tables reversed and me driving....Mike, we pulled that rig up when I got into some shallow water with the downriggers going.....obvious rookie mistake....couldnt turn away from the structure quickly enough, and when we saw that rig, we both said simultaneously, BAKO BOYS gear!!!!! Pretty funny stuff, I want to know if it was yours, or Scott's.
Interesting to see the winter patterns, and go about getting down to them....Once again I gained some more knowledge from Bob, stuff that I can do when I am out by myself. Even in the wind and rain a fun day!!!.........................Dave

Very impressive to pull in some troll fish this time of year no matter who is driving. I can appreciate what a good job you did under the current conditions.
Even the bait bite has been slowing down as the stripers get picky and disinterested.
We saw many fish on the finder and while bait fishing we watched all day as they came up to our fresh baits and just swam away. Only the occasional taker.
Great job guys!

Good chit Bob BOOOZ. and Dave!

Especially this time of year.

Hmmm... Lost bako rig? Without mentioning names, CB had a friend
Go on the same day as me and forgot all his rigs at home
So he asked me if I would give his friends a couple rigs to borrow!!
Of course I gave him some rigs cuz I knew cb would do the same for me.

One being a bako rig cuz it wasn't my goto and I still knew it caught fish.
Well his friend lost both rigs. BINGO there's your answer!

Hey mr lo,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

How is it going Mr T.O just admiring doing what you do, way to hang in there on a tough bite. Good choice to live live or die by the troll waiting for the rain to past even though we needed ..lo
