What a cool-looking fish! This is actually a Lancetfish, which are found in almost all oceans, and are usually caught by accident by commercial tuna fisherman, as this one was.

Looks like a Mr. Barracuda hookedup with a Miss. Sailfish and that's the offspring. Scary thought isn't it.:EyePop:

That is BY FAR the most bitchen looking fish I've ever seen! Looks like part raptor. Never seen one before, wonder why no one targets them while ocean fishing? No meat?

No meat?they're actually well-regarded as food fish, however the tuna fisheries which catch sizeable numbers of them usually just turn them into fish meal, i guess some of it ends up in fish-sticks.
