Dennis and I went on Wednesday to see if the Necktie canyon spot is still working, and I also wanted to see if the newly-welded hull cracks on my boat were plugged (thanks to my son-in-law Steve!)...the fish were there, but not as abundant on the meter as they have been...it took us a while to get a bite using frozen sardines, but eventually we started to slow-pick them...then Dennis took over and schooled me with some nice 4 to 5 pounders...

The back end of the boat was on fire...I caught about four of the twelve fish we had, and had to watch Dennis catch the rest :Envious:

Some days are like that...eventually even Dennis stopped catching them too...I was glad the boat leaks are way less...had about a cup of water in the bilge when we pulled it out around 1. I'm beginning to think we'll have to start looking at some different spots to fish soon...we caught 'em, but it isn't nearly as easy as it has been...

Thanks for the report.

It's nice to hear that you got your leaks improved.

Catching more fish must be Dennis' reward for welding your boat.

Apologies for not making it clearer...Dennis didn't weld the boat, my son-in-law Steve did, and Dennis is way too old to be my son-in-law  (payback for kicking my butt yesterday).
