Close but No Cigar...

Got into a school of massive fish chasing trout, lost 1 decent one, lost another monster, and remembered I packed a reel with thicker line and sure enough it was enough to get the job done. Wasn't aware of the lake record, so I fished for another 2 hours after I ripped some gills to bleed the fish. Those that know what it's like to walk the shore with some weight in their hands can sympathize with why I did that lol.
Well the fish went 32.11 lbs about 2 lbs shy of the new lake record. Crazy Lucky Day. Girl friend even picked up a 5 lb trout on the way back as I was taking a breather from walking.
