Im thinking of taking my boys to Silverwood. Has anyone float tubed here? I know it's a large body of water im just curious where to focus our attention. Probably fish for trout and bait it up for stripers I guess. Any tips would be much appreciated.
Trout head for Miller or Cleghorn. Things are not what they have been in years past, Cleghorn is no longer planted with trout all plants go into the Marina, also Cleghorn parking area is closed off for the winter so to access that area you have to kick over from the Marina area. If you go during a plant week then you can get them in areas close to the launch ramp. It's really different anymore use to be a fantastic lake to shore fish from Cleghorn and also Miller was almost a guarantee when it came to trout from a tube but things have changed.
