All the street trash from LA coming down the LA River. After the first big rain every year the shoreline gets covered with trash from the river to Los Alamitos Jetty. City of LB cleans it pretty fast so all the tourists don't get to see it. lol. Plastic, spray cans (taggers) stryrofoam YOU NAME IT ! So much trash doesn't even make it to shore. Get a plastic bag around your outboard then blow up your engine because some A Hole up in LA litters.

One of my nearby arachnid spots has a terrible problem with littering.. It's a nature preserve, and people just dont care. The worst part about it, is that the best spot there is totally trashed..

losers will drink beers and throw the bottles, resulting in a shameful collage of broken glass and bottlecaps.. Also, i suspect this is a place where gay people have butt sex, because i find condom wrappers everywhere, and one area concealed within a few pepper trees seems to be a "tranny-thicket".. I always have my hand on my knife when i venture around there.

I sure wish people would show the same compassion to what remains of our scrubland that they have for the ocean.. Just because it's not a sparkling ocean with dolphins doesnt mean it should be ignored :(

Shame indeed DR. It's sad to see how people will trash natural areas and even areas that have receptacles nearby. A lot of the nature preserves, open spaces, trails, creeks, and practically any body of water I go to is trashed to the brim. People should really clean up after themselves.

Would "catch" a condom every once in a while when fishing the San Gabriel River. They can sure put up a fight using ultralight tackle in moving water. Always practiced C&R on that species, even so far as cutting off a couple feet of line above the hook so as not to leave a scuff on the main line when retying.

Do to the presence of Sea Turtles living in the San Gabrial river I would not recommend releasing condoms in the river. The turtles eat jellyfish and could eat someones rubber and get sick or even die. If you want to release inside of your own personal condom or release into the river without a condom then that would be okay.

Never flush plastic into a toilet. Plastic can make it through the Hyperion sewage treatment plant and be discharged into the ocean.
Do Not litter plastic or styrofoam ANYWHERE. It will find a storm drain and make it to the ocean.
