Sorry for the late report... vacation has been awesome, but busy! This report is for Monday, December 23rd.
Today I was able to get out of the house and fish one more time before Xmas. I arrived at my first AO, a set of "fishy" looking rocks just south of Deer Creek on PCH. I was in the water around 9:30am. It was crisp out, but it was beautiful. The water was crystal clear too. I threw the LC for about an hour with not as much as a bump. Then I switched to the Kroc, which I proceeded to cast a mile and apparently landed in some kelp. The line ended up snapping and the Kroc was retired to Davey Jones' locker. I switched to a swimbait and threw that for awhile... still with not as much as a tap. Then I went to the sure fire C-Rig to catch me a perch. Gotta remove that skunk... nothing.

I packed up my gear and hiked back up the hill, head hung in shame. I can't go out like that! Instead of heading home, I decided to try Leo Carrillo again. Even though my luck there has been less than favorable, I held my head up high and hit the surf.

I threw the LC again for about an hour. I got a couple of light taps, but nothing would stick. Hey, at least there are fish in this body of water! With time dwindling down, I switched to the C-Rig and figured I'd just perch-it. I quickly hooked up on 3 monsters :LOL: out of about 12 casts.

Skunk removed, pride a little bruised. But any time on the water is better than nothing.
