Caught this fish(below) a few weeks before the most hectic of times of the year, Finals Week. Between work and school this outing(along with another report I will post later) kept me sane for the later part of the semester. The Sandy slammed my lure (5in. Havoc Grass Pig rigged on a 3/8 ounce Owner Sled Head) before deciding to bury itself in the thickest patch of kelp it could find! The fight lasted about five minutes before the fish was subdued, and after a few pics released. Other catches included three almost legal Calicos and a tiny Cabezon that kept going after my lure.
