There is a guy who FKNChristopher knows that is very experienced swimming after swimbaits, but I don't want to throw the guy under the bus...Maybe he'll ask him if he sees this thread. : )

i do know MSP eats a lot od lures. im too afraid to spend big money on big baits just for that reason LOL good luck with the retrieval :)

If it is a DEPS someone should bite and retrieve the lure. Go in from the South shore and once lure is in possession, swim to the North shore and make a b-line to DVL or Castaic LOL

Thats me lol

But my suggestion.. just go in.. do it quick and leave after. At least you know where its stuck.. It is a lot better than a cast off.

The joys of big bait fishing.

Wow didn't know about this!!! Well I am at mile park annnnnd Picked her on the first try nice lure for sure but I gave it to a lil 10 year old he likes bass fishing, the funniest thing was he asked do you use this to catch fish or scare them into giving up because the splash that thing made wow scared me a lil lol I couldn't stop laughing lil kid was a trip he didn't catch any fish with it but he it's ok it felt like he had a fish each time because the lure was so big :) now that's positive fishing.

that reminds me, i gotta retrieve that crankbait I snagged there... It's merely hooked to the underwater ledge.. Wonder if anyone stumbled onto it yet.

An no, it's not a pricey one. LOL I wonder how many people are gonna go searching now, only to find it was a rapala, thinking this was reverse-psychology. lolol

I tubed there once. Brand new Punker, on the 2nd cast the wind blew the line into one of those aerator bouy. It got stuck good. Early next morning while the runners/joggers where doing their thing, I carried my tube, fins, and wader down to the lake. A bolt cutter inside the pocket of the tube, kicked out to the bait, cut off the hooks, and back home before my kids were up for school. Also got me a new popper.

Dude I would just go in. After all...if its an expensive swimbait its logical to try and get it back. If by chance somebody decides to be an A$$hat and cite you I would verbally rip them an ********* so big they would want to quit their job and throw themselves off a cliff.

You have a right to your bait, you're not causing any mischief.

Just my 2cents

thanks storm crow... good vibes.. and positive outlook and giving me hope..

crouchingninja.. wouldnt u like to know..lol .... 82% of the replies were negative, hating, downers... or tryna scare and disappoint a depressed angler...
all to find out where and what to take it and come up themselves...hahah... only few positive fishermen ....know the struggle or know the bond of big bait swimbaiters...

it was a roman made mother ;)
