Are there any board sponsors or recommendations for reel repair in Los Angeles?

I have had great luck with Alan.
Put it in a USPS box and mail it to him. He is in the bay area. Good turn around time. He also has a nice reel repair tutorial site.

It;s a Shimano Corsair 300 Gold Model. The line winder keeps loading line on one side. This is a swimbait reel I use. It will work and then at the end the line winds up on one side as the winder stops laying it down evenly.

On the bottom side of the line guide there a screw cap, make sure it's tight.

Yea, just tightened the line guide screw cap and not like an ape and it just snapped. So, I for sure need that replaced. The worm gear seems fine but what do I know? I bought the reel used and it was the second time I used it. I will call someone then. Thanks for all your help guys, I appreciate it.

The level wind is Driven by a nylon to metal gears...
The Nylon gear is probably stripped partially.

It was probably cracked already but like nessie said the gear might be stripped. Honestly I would send it to shimano in irvine, probly be like $20 if they even charge you.
