BIG Cats & Bass with Chef Trolly in December at Irvine Lake w/Pics

[Rooster]

Short report :
Trout were aggressive and biting at 5 feet on the troll. Pink & rainbow trout were the flavor of the day!
Bass were on the chew in 5 to 10 feet of water. Guy next to us using a bama rig slaying from shore.
Cats were on the chew on Macs in flats and along red clay cliffs. Get out there and enjoy!

Long report:

With all the stress of Christmas upon us we decided what better way to relieve some stress and get out to our favorite lake and see how Saint Nick will treat us for the day. As always I learned a ton of stuff from the Legend Trolly.
First lesson learned. This is why Trolly rolls in and launches his boat around 8am

As waiting for the Trollmeister I snapped a couple pics. Kinda cool this guy takes a taxi to the lake.

Trolly soon after arrives and launches the fishing machine

Weather was beautiful out and everyone had the spirit of Christmas upon them.
Sharing info on everything that was biting. Fishing was excellent for all that we came across.

The guy next to us along the cliffs was putting on a show from shore with a bama rig so I decided to toss out a crawler since I left all my bass gear at home today. Had a bass on in a few minutes after. And she put up a nice fight on 4lb test after a quick pic she was released.

The cats were not hungry in the morning but when the lunch bell rang Chef Trolly was first to get on the board with a nice kitty.

So after a short period of no action. Chef Trolly pulled out the secret weapon Grape Leaves stuffed with rice and beef.
Chef I gotta tell you those the bomb ! Amazing how a legend can cook like that and fish like no other :Thumbs Up:

Trolly & I got on a roll taking in some really nice cats ranging from 4-9lbs. Most we released as they were to pretty to keep. I had a few really nice runs and battles that was lost due to old line. BTW Trolly I went out today and purchased some fresh 20lb at Sav On Tackle. My favorite store. Diego it was great seeing you buddy! Thanks for all the info and great service.

Anyways ended the day around 2pm but not before I landed another new PB for me.. A beautiful 15.2 Blue Cat.
This lake is just amazing ! After a few Pics we released the blue back and it took off just like it came in!
