Haven't been able to fish since 12/1/13. Caught this damn cold 3 weeks ago, but finally felt good enough to get out for a couple of hours. Got out a grey light. Was chilly, but didn't need gloves; water was flowing, kinda dirty and moss on split ring with every retrieve.

Hit the first spot and picked a dink on the LC110 and had one follower. Threw the Fluke and 4" lipless for nothing else so I moved onto the second spot. Tied on the LC110 MS American Shad clone I painted, but didn't get no love at the second spot. Moved onto the third spot, and was rewarded with this 20" 3lbr in front of a bait grate. Had another about the same size hammer it, but I missed him. I was so f'ng happy to catch something on this new lure. Nothing like catching them on something one has made.

Wished I had had more time to fish today, but gonna have a house full of people in a couple of hours. Be back out again on Monday.

That's awesome Dave. Glad to hear they work. Was not able to get out today. But days not over. Lol

Get in the zone, Autozone. That just popped in my head after reading the above lol.

Dave, I would be hesitant to get that lure anywhere near the asphalt with those spastic little stripers thrashing it on the ground and scratching it all up, ruining that nice work.

Definitely need to get out with you CB. This Tuesday and then next Monday and Tuesday work for me. Give me a call if any of these days work for you

Yeah, I try to keep 'em up high to keep road rash down. I use Devcon 2 Ton as the topcoat and it is more durable than the factory LCs too.

Factory LC's finish sucks like most factory finishes. Those things scratch in their own packaging. Your topcoat sounds like armor compared to factory junk.
