A bit off the wall, but someone who got me to and from innumerable fishing trips was Dr. Dimento. Anyone remember Dick Haynes? Of course Uncle Joe and Rita Wild.

The Real Don Steele! He was at 93 KHJ during the 60's-70's. Also at KHJ, M.G. Machine Gun Kelly!! These guys ruled AM radio in LA during the mid 60's to early 70's. I listened to them everyday while a pre-teen growing up in LA. I also watched Soul Train while growing up. IMO, some of the best artists of all time appeared on Soul Train. And, I'd be remiss, without including Art Laboe, the KING of playing oldies!
BTW...I heard Laboe fished DVL last year and loved it!
When FM arrived, it was Jim Ladd and Cynthia Fox at KMET!

My buddy just went to an anniversary party held at Canyon Lake,the surprise DJ was Richard Blade,he got pics with him and said it was a great evening.
