Does anyone have information regarding fishing & camping in headquarters campground in the upper kern river ?
First time camping up there i want to see how it is in mid january so i would really appreciate any information

Thanks T-rex cold . flows are low&slow. look at last colum.
http://www.kernriverflyfishing.com/kern_flows.html 500-800cfs i think are perfect . so at 150 look for pools. havnt been there latly so dont know about the bite. special regs above johnsdale bridge.

Look up fishing magician he can tell you what's up. He's a member on the board and if I'm not mistaking he runs a lodge on the upper river?
