Stayed up way late Friday night to watch the meteor shower with the Team 57 crew. Wow, what a show!!
Love the pre-fishing fun.
Didn't find a few friends till the next day since we were inside and they got stuck in the line. Good to see you, Ben.
Wind picked up late Friday night/early Saturday morning. All watercraft were on hold till the winds died down. Boats launched 30 minutes late. Tubers much later.
Crowd was small due to winds. I personally love fishing in adverse weather conditions.
Strong winds most of the day. Cold in morning but then an awesome sunny day.
Fished the shore and it was good all day long. Just about non-stop all day.
I hit the spot all alone at 6:10 and had first fish within 15 minutes.
Lots of TEAM 57 members found my little spot, now known as "Chris' Point #2" according to some!!! LOL
TroutDog was sleepy and didn't make it till after 10!!! The wind is sooo scary!!! LOL
We both still killed it.
TroutDog and I closed the lake down. Jerry kicked us off at 4:58!!!
Most trout were 2-2.5lbs. All colors/baits seemed to work.
Boats didn't seem to be doing all that well.
Water is clear and I heard around the upper 50's in temp.
Saturdays big winner was only a 3.85lber!!
Big thanks to the staff of Irvine Lake for a great event. Always a pleasure.
