Quick AM Report from Castaic

Just got back from Castaic. Got there when it opened and hit Don Iovino Point. There were 2 guys on Governors Point that I saw yesterday when I was trout fishing. Would love to have checked their cooler.
Anyways, the water was calm and it was cooler and windier than yesterday. Strippers were breaking the water for about an hour. We threw every swimbait known to man and only got a follow up and tail splash.
Not a single bite and the trout that were around yesterday were no where to be seen. I did get a follow from a healthy LMB though. She swam under my bait and checked it out then split. Got windy by 10 and we took off. Did not see any other fish caught on the shore or from any of the boats.

cool thx for the update... man those trout disappeared quick... they usually hang around for 3-4 days at least. Oh well, was thinking of taking my dad up there this Thurs or Fri, but maybe just for stripers off the dam. Were there a lot of people on the dam still??

The dam was PACKED! We were the fifth car in line and the line went back to the tower. Maybe 12 boats in line. Maybe.

Wow! Still?? well, guess the bite off the dam is still going strong then.... might have to hit it up this Thanksgiving weekend with my dad...

they still bite on sardine but not much on fly-line. c-rig 1/2 oz weight. I stopped this morning to check how is the bite and one guy caught big carp on sardine...lol....looked like 15 lbs plus to me.
