av duct short session night

I have not fished duct for a while since too much actions at the dam lake for me. I revisited the duct last night on my break time because MB1 texted me there were some fish activities around the area (thank you). Passed the 1st spot because I did not want to take a long walk...lol...second spot, hooked up a fish in 4-5 second when the KPN lure hit the water. landed her in about 4-5 lbs. called it a night since the break was over.

You know it! I got 3 nice ones Sunday morning. Tried this morning and farmed a 8-10# and a 5-6#. Landed a 3.5# to keep the catch streak going. I saw 3 different schools of about 10 lmb at 3 different spots. It's an infestation LOL. Thank goodness they didn't bite. I love the smell of striper in the morning. LMB smell would be bad.

Yeah it was a tough work week...woke up at 5am after 7 hrs to go fish, felt wrecked still. Closed my eyes again and they reopened at noon lol.

You read my mind, sir, with the going west advice :-)

If it's anything like I experienced local this morning before work it should be a good day for you? I did a quickie and first cast had two nice sized followers. A few casts later hook up and tight drag peeling fish and within seconds it comes off. Keep tossing and getting bit and hook up again and same thing. On for a few seconds then it gets off. No more bites so I hit another spot close by and within a couple of tosses hook up and peeling tight drag and I get a few cranks in on it and slack again. WTF??? None were schoolies cause the way I set my drag if anything peels it it is at least a 6-8# + fish. Went back quick to the first spot after letting it cool but no more action. This is a very rare occurrence but it has happened in the past to farm fish like that. Yes my hook was sharp. My theory is they were clamped down tight on the lure for a few seconds and they opened their mouth and out it came without hooking.

went on the vampire hunt last night with KPN. Missed several bites !!!! very light taps and gone !!! but we finally hooked up 3 fish. They were 2.5-4 lbs. range. Yes...they stacked lot of big roll liners and heavy construction equipment at highland areas.

Thanks for saving some for me to catch this morning. I got two schoolies about 3#. Had a few followers in the nicer size range but they didn't want to commit. Good to hear you vampires are finding some action too.
