Mussel fee sticker

Just paid my registration and it included two extra stickers mussel fee paid stickers, is this a tax or what, what is the purpose of the sticker do u still need to get the boat checked at the lakes for mussels and dryness. please inform thanks

Well my lake is a pond now, they have pulled the docks at the boat ramps water is too low, wife wants to fish the river she, she likes the river FM says its pretty good now, the way I see it its a tax. Thanks for reply.

It is a fee to pay for the cost of producing the stickers.
