After reading all the good reports on here for opening weekend, I thought i'd try my luck Saturday morning. Picked up my cousin and we headed out. Arrived around 6:05am and waited a few minutes to get into the lake. Headed out to the West shore after picking up some Garlic powerbait and free "powerdust" (Thanks Berkley!) and shortly had our lines in the water. Water levels were lower than when I was last out there (sometimes in the summer) but provided the much needed access to shoreline. Entire was west short was jam packed! Anywho, no bites on anything till about 9:45-10ish, my cousin lost a nice 3lber bringing it to shore. Shortly after I landed a 3lber of my own and my cousin redeemed himself with a bow that was just a tad smaller than mine. The bite seemed to be red hot on PB and mousetails, people up and down the shore were catching pretty much all day. Even though we only caught 2, they were still quality fish and we had a great time. Also, i just realized I forgot to add that we caught both on chartreuse Powerbait with the Power dust.
