Hermosa Pier

sept. 22 around 2 pm I went in the internet and check out hermosa beach live cam and guess what it was sunny there so i packed up my gears picked up my wife's cousin and went there. when we got there the sun was out and the waves were big. we set up and nothing for about an hour. i have my 12 yo son with us too so the two of us tried the end of the pier near the surf and yes we were catching jacksmelts up to three at a time. we did that for half hour and we decide to try the farthest end of the pier and there it was the macs about 11 to 12 inches not that many but consistent for about an hour them after that we decided to go bec it's starting to get cold.

by the way we also caugth three striped bass (i think) about 8 inches, they were released, the rest we took home for future bait and to share with some friends.

yeah those stripers were prolly salema, i caught one there last time.... cool looking fish though! thnx for the report

All the strippers I have ever seen in Hermosa have a short pink stripe and one brown eye that winks at me all the time.

Great Job on the Jacks and Macks.....I love Hermosa Beach.....Many fine memories out there!
