Hit up the opener with my dad and it was one of the best bites I've been on.

We trolled all day from a rental and had a limit by around 9. Bite was good from around 7:30 until about 10 and then it got to be a pick bite. I did experience my first triple hookup though, that was pretty awesome. Had a couple doubles too.

Hot baits in the morning was definitely anything pink. Mira shads, s.c. Shiners, needlefish..... You name it, as long as it had pink in it, it got bit. After the bite slowed, forefinger and clown worked really well. Spoke with a couple guys soaking bait and they said yellow garlic and orange select powerbait were the baits that got bit best today. West shore was the happen in place to be if your game plan was to soak bait. I saw 2 Brookfield caught but no browns. All my fish were standard stockers in the pound and a half to 4 pound variety.

Good luck to all the guys in line for Saturday morning and I hope this intel helps!
