Opening day crowd is moderate, and fishing so far has been even better early than yesterday.
Most fish in the 2 to 3 pound range, so far none of the monsters have been landed.
Many shore anglers had 2 or 3 fish already when yesterday's 8:30 AM bite time arrived, and almost immediately, I saw three nearby shorecasters all get bit, and a pontoon boat offshore gat a triple hookup.
Best bait for shore fishing has been regular garlic PowerBait on an 18 inch leader, with plain nightcrawlers a close second.
West shore best spot for shore action.

Good fishing continues, with many double-limit passes sold.
Some better fish being caught now, with big rainbows over 8 pounds for FNN member John Struckman [John's Fishing], and Craig Adkinson.
