No work today so decided to try my new swimbaits at Castaic. I got there around 2 and went to the dam area and when I started throwing the lunker punker I saw a guy with 6 nice stripers the biggest one was around 5lbs I asked him what he had been using and he said sardines. I headed to the area where he had been at and saw that everyone there were slaying the stripers it seemed like they were getting a hit every couple minutes. I started throwing the top water there cause the bite seemed very good there ten cast later I got my first one it was around 8lbs. around 5:30 the started biting again and got two more on he plunker I wanted to try out my Roman Made and got the smallest one of the day on that one t was around 4lbs.
