REPORT
The conditions south of the pier this morning were great. Some big clumps of avoidable kelp and a little wind to deal with, but the surf was very calm and clean. I had a quarter oz hair jig tied to the main line; then a two foot leader with a MORF Helgi on a size six bait holder trailing behind. Didn't get anything to stick on the jig, but the Helgi did great with a total of thirteen perch in a couple hours. They were mostly in the six to eight inch range. Strong enough to double over the noodle rod.

I'm not sure which is more impressive; the size of the perch or the fact that you were throwing the 1/4 jig on that baitcaster. I'm tying 3/8 oz versions now if you want to try one out.
