I heard they were starting to come up for bugs. Did you get there early enough to see any risers? Good looking sparkle bugger!

Yea my friend from Crestline had a blast with the browns last year and I'm pretty surprised by the lack of browns being caught this year. Really they were up and hitting fly's well into the fall/winter last year and now nothing? Doubt they were caught out hopefully they are targeting the crappie like intended but you would think a wooly bugger would get um seeing that they might replicate pretty well crappie fry. I'm going to start playing up there more with the 3 wt and see what happens.

Thanks for the report!

I have a buddy that lives in Crestline also, he said they haven't stocked Browns in about 2 years. It won't be long before they're caught out though, I hardly ever see anyone CNRing when I go up there. Seems like most people have dinner on their minds...their main goal is to fill their stringers, doesn't matter what kind of fish they catch. It's kind of a shame...
