When I first started to participate in FNN, a young man on the board was questioning me about how I was fishing !To me it was a rude remark so I shot right back a him ! I found out this young Man was the number one authority on catching Striped bass from the California Aquaduct !Mike Luna or as they call him on FNN (cutbait) said,Don't be afraid to ask QUESTIONS!!! Thank You Bako Boy !
This is my story of the Diamond Valley Lake Wounded Warriors Striper King Classic III ! Sham ! Liers !Cheaters, Ugly people and more and more and more !!!
(The Good) Ron the (fishinone) called and asked me to captain a pontoon boat in the Classic with him and another FNNer(The Good )Khanh of (KPN) !I felt proud and started getting ready to give

these Marines the best fishing day of there lives ! I started studying the last two classic's and all I found was cheating and more cheating. I could not find a human story ! Two days before the
tournament Ron call's me and wants to drop out !The Fishinone is mad !I have never seen Ron mad !He's the nicest and most giving person you want to know !(The Bad) Barry is already just

thinking of himself ! I call the (The Good) Legend and ask him what's up ! Bob tell's me that they shi-t on him last year and if the dumb AS-s( The Ugly) Kewly was there it will be cheat city !!! We all know Bob ! Bob won't lie,

The Legend puts people on fish ! Bob posts numbers nobody else does ! Every body loves Bob ! Bob has proven himself ! If anybody talks bad about Bob ! They are lieing for some gain to them
self's! Bob's going to fish an FNN surf fishing tournament that day ! Bob stays away from the (Bad and the Ugly) ! I talked Bob into coming down and putting a hert on the Cheaters ! I told Bob !

Hardcore has you back little Brother ! And I knew Bob,Ron and Khanh had my back ! All though I fight alone ! It is so neat to go into enemy territory with some the strongest people I know !

(The Ugly) The cheater blew past all the people that were first in line . I'm pissed off and I start to get verbal right away ! This is not happening on my watch ! Hardcore lay's loose on the Ugly,
Every Thing comes back to order and they find out there's a new Sheriff in town ! And he is not going to take any shi=t from any one ! Bring it Dick heads ! (The Good ) Ben Maple (Ben606) !

The most stand up guy you would ever want to know, organized the captains and warriors. Ben fed them donuts, joked with them and made it so easy on us that if it were not for Ben, this
tournament would be all about the Bad and the Ugly ! Just like the last two years ! I see Bob ( The Great ) the Legend pull in ready to donate his boat and time for a couple of Marines to have the

best time of there young lives ! What a Man ! Bob's back even though Barry and the other as-s hole Kewly Shi-t all over The Legend last year ! Bob' not afraid of anybody ! Bob's a Marine !
Marines are not afraid of anything ! If you mess with Bob, Your messing with me ! That aint Good ! As I'm walking the line talking to(The Good) men that have brought there kids to the

tournament, they all have a concern about the cheating that happens right in front of there eyes ! I told them I was there for them and I will speak up if anything happen's ! (The Ugly )
Did Barry or the other AS-s hole do anything to even try to prevent cheating this year ! No ! (The Ugly) brought in a DFW guy that ate all the warriors donuts, Went on top of the hill and sleep in

his truck ! I did not see this guy all day ! He surely wasn't at the weigh in to look at crooked fish ! where was he ! He barked all this crap in the beginning and then in DFW style Was not seen
again ! I found out they hire at the DFW by the pound ! They have become FARMERS and they are not even good at that ! To (The Bad) DFW Start doing your job ! We pay your wages !

They both are as UGLY as a man can get ! (The Good) Ben set it up so the captains and the Warriors could park right on the ramp to make loading the pontoon boats easy ! As
I'm walking down the ramp I see this nice red pontoon boat ! I start loading my gear and the rental guy says That's not your pontoon boat ! Then he pointed to four of the most dented,torn,

rattling pieces of crap I have ever seen ! Coast Guard would not let these thing on the water for an event like this ! But we are here for the Warriors ! Ron and Bob let me know this earlyer
and wanted me to stick to our plan to out fish the cheaters ! I'm nerved ! You can't put a Marine on the bite of his life in a boat like this ! I read computers that talk to each other ! I have

side scan ! I'm nerved ! As I'm getting ready to launch, my mind is going a million miles an hour thinking how to best get these Marines on fish with out a depth or fishfinder. I'm mad at the DFW,
I'm mad at the two As-s holes running this thing, I'm about to pop !!! All off a sudden I feel this big strong hand on my shoulder, I look and see my Bobby Boy smiling at me ! It wasn't his regular

smile that you see so much when he's about to put you on a day of great fishing ! This smile melted away all the stress that had been building up from Two uglies and the dounut eating DFW !
Bob the legend handed me a map of where he caught stripers on Monday ! Where the Bait was ! Where the Shad that every bodies been looking for was ! He just keep smiling at me ! He said,

You know what we do Corey ! Now go out and win this thing ! When the Marines got on board Sgt. Justin Dennison and his best friend Sgt. Danial Norris walked up to Ron,Khanh and I and said
We are the Champion's and we are going to win this thing ! I look over at Ron and Khanh and they are shaking there heads yes ! AS we push off I get one more look at the Legend Holding his fist

up high ! Pumping it at me ! Telling me I'm his man ! Thank God I had my sunglasses on because tears of joy were flowing and suddenly I felt alive ! I was ready to kick some AS=s ! I told our team we going to put Ron's umbrella rigs out as soon as we launch and troll to the area of the Shad that The Legend had marked on the map ! When we get to that area,Khanh see's Bob already

on the Stripers ! His Marines have never held a fishing pole in there hands and already have three nice Stripers on board ! Bob gives up information right off the bat and continues on with his slaying ! The information that Bob gave us lead to our first fish ! A Largemouth bass ! But at least a Marine got to reel in a fish ! Bob and our team were working a small drop off at the back of the

cove that leads into the flats that had Largemouth boiling on Shad all day long ! When Bob passed by the second time, he said Drop them back to 150 ! And we did ! That's when Sgt. Justuin
Dennison, hooked, fought and landed the winning biggest Striped Bass of the tournament ! Team Hardcore not only credits The Legend with the biggest Striper ! but all fish we caught and caught and released that day ! Team Hardcore ended the day with 5 Largemouth Bass, one a double for Sgt. David Soto ! And 1 Striper at 11 pound and winner of the Big fish Trophy ! The Legend ended with 5 Striped Bass and uncountable Largemouth Bass ! The winner of the Biggest Stringer ! Our Marines and Bob's Marines were happy ! Happy that we beat the cheaters !

Hardcore and Bob know who the cheaters are ! All though the doughnut eating DFG guy wasn't there at the weigh in's to confirm the cheating like he said he was going to do ! I was there !
I saw the cheating, I had multiple guides point out fish over my shoulder ! I'm just a fat man with a camera trying to expose cheaters ! Barry wasn't there at the weigh in's ! He promised me no cheating ! He lied again ! Barry has lied to everybody on our team ! Barry lied when he called me at home ! At the tournament Barry lied again ! Barry called after the tournament after he read my thread on Cheaters and AS-s holes ! I let Barry have both Barrels on the phone ! I held nothing back, telling him that Kewly the as-s wipe and him were scum of the earth for taking advantage of the nation best! If these guy's are here next year, something is very wrong ! SAD ! I have more people ! My lawyers are looking at video of the raffle drawings ! I have to have real good evidence before I name names ! I have really good lawyers that are working now and what they all ready found will shut this tourny down !

First off, Thank you for your kind words and support for the Warriors as well as for the other Captains as well as for me.

Let me tell you that these are serious accusations that I am personally going to be looking in to. These are not just random guys brought to the tournament. These are Marines, Sailors, and Soldiers that I have the utmost respect for. Not only that, some of these Warriors work directly for me! Some of them are MY Marines. MY Marines know I would give my life for them in a heart beat as I know they would for me which in my line of work, which some of you know what I do now, can happen any day of work.

There are some things I do want to clear up.

I gave a by name roster a week in advance that was to be given to all the Captains with specific instructions which covered contacting your warriors, gear that needed to be supplied by the Captains, and other logistics such as snacks and drinks. For example, on mine and Pats boat, we did a potluck for drinks and snacks. Pat and I both brought about 18 poles total and all the gear needed for the warriors. These were things that were to be relayed to the Captains which I heard some got the info and some didn't which I will look in to. I started to worry when warriors were contacting me days before the event cause they had not been contacted by their Captains. Believe me I knew because when you input over 40 phone numbers in your cell, that takes a few minutes. I sent mass text and made phone calls to ensure every warrior was taken care of and began getting confirmations from Captains that their teams were good to go. Their fishing permits were signed off so they did not have to buy a California license which Barry worked out. I also know there was free water at one of the booths.

Musthuntandfish, I understand your concerns but I can assure you EVERY Warrior still would have be taken care of. Failing to take care of these Warriors, that I personally signed up and organized their participation, was not an option to fail.

I'd also like to note that Vince Sanchez was very helpful in helping getting Captains as well as Warriors signed up. His help and volunteering was crucial to our success in getting these guys taken care of. Oh and by the way Vince brought all the doughnuts just like he did last year, I did not bring those.

I will also be looking in to the raffle as I asked my Marines if they saw or thought something was up and was informed of some things that again I will follow up on. My part of this was simple, put Warriors on boats to fish with guys who could help put them on fish. I do not condone cheating and will report any cheaters if I catch them. I do not condone abusing the Marines I bring nor will I tolerate it. Just so you know though, go ahead and try to abuse a Marine and you'll have bigger problems than being called names.

All in all if it comes down to it, I will walk away with my Marines and the Marines I bring. I just ask that as much accuracy is given as much as possible especially when I know for a fact I took care of certain things.

On a positive note, let me share a story about Major Mike Christiansen who by the way, I bass fish tourneys with. The raffle started and I bought $200 worth of tickets. Well I had so many I couldn't organize them in time so I handed mike some to hold for me. Without knowing he tells me I won the first raffle prize and hands me my ticket. I go up and go figure it's the DVL annual pass! Awesome I'm thinking. Come to find out, I didn't win. Mike won and gave me his ticket playing it off like it was my own ticket. After calling him names and cussing at him, he still refused to take the pass from me. Talk about class act......that was just one of many unselfish acts involving the Warriors. I'm not deceiving crap. If you question my military service then your barking on the wrong agenda......I'll gladly post my dd214. Question my experience as a combat wounded.......I'll gladly show you my dd214. Better yet you want to talk to my wife who suffers worse than I do! Or did you not notice the 6 inch scare down the left side of my neck where I was bleeding out and my 2 Marines saved my life. Or did you not notice how I re taught myself to use my right thumb that had a piece of medal shred down it! Or the numbness all along the left side of my neck and jaw!

I support both of your efforts in resolving this matter but airing out issues/differences you may have on it here is not going to solve it and you both may lose any support in the future. Please take it off line and work it out together. I was asked by Ben to co-captain with him and Pat, I was not able to do that due to personal matters and I deeply regret missing the opportunity to fish with you and your Marines and to thank you for your service. Corey while I have not met you personally your unselfishness and passion for fishing and helping others to get on fish and learn the skills of this sport are amazing and your attention to details, perfection, ethics and doing the right thing is what this sport needs more of. The Marines and the sport needs both of you working together to make it only better please take a deep breath and step back for just a moment.

I sent both of you a PM last night before your posts here about an event for the Marines on Veterans Day. The event is on a private lake that most would die to fish on as it is loaded with huge LMB that see little fishing pressure. It is being hosted by two of my friends that hosted the BassCat Owners Tournament in the Delta last month that I attended. They are standup guys that work their a-ss off and one of them is an active Marine. The goal is to put 100 Marines on FISH and to thank them for their service on Veterans day. We need 50 boaters and it is FREE and 100% for the Marines. I need standup guys to give these Marines an experience they will not soon forget and both of you came to my immediate mind for help.

Those that know me know that I don't suffer lightly from expressing my opinion and I hope that neither of you are offended by putting my two cents in here. If I can be of any assistance please contact me. There is nothing more important to me than showing our men and women in the service how much there sacrifices are valued and appreciated. Cleaning up the mess that some people have done to our loved sport of fishing is second.

I saw things that raised red flags in my mind. I don't doubt that your video has things on it that show big problems but you're the only one here who's seen most of those things.

I want to see this contest changed to what it should be or cancelled!

I'm sure that the sponsors would like to have their donations handled better. They most likely don't want to be associated with bad press.

I have to say though, I think that Ben has been open and honest with me. I think he's one of the good guys. If I haven't missed my guess, he was hoping to find people who would help him to get things changed.

I have been watching this & other threads, and dont even know what to say.
But feel like I must say something.

I have been a volunteer at SKC for all 3 yrs now, missed last yr as I was sick.
I work behind the scenes in the tent as slave labor. Yep I throw freight, unbox, organize and stuff bags etc.
Then tear down & clean the area.
I spend about 3 or 4 hrs just driving to & from.
Buy raffle tickets etc.
I am ex Army and a retired Cop (SBPD).
I feel honored and privileged to be able to give back a little to the Kids & Warriors!!!!!!

I have nothing but respect for the people involved.
These people give their time & money, and months of preparation & Involvement to make this a great outing and Charity event..
All for free, no compensation, no awards, no recovery of time & monies etc .
This was the third year of this event and it gets Bigger and better every year.

My hats is off to you all..

What do I see?
I see some of the most Honorable, selfless, giving & Patriotic people you will ever meet.

I will be back (God willing) next year........

Stormcrow, it's nice to hear from you, maybe I need to go on FNN a little more often. First off, I was at the tournament and have been for the last three years. Barry and Ben keep asking me back each year not because I'm a great fisherman, but, because I can tie hooks, own a bunch of rods, and lastly, have a few life experiences. I was wounded twice in the Vietnam war. The first time was a cheap purple heart in both arms from a grenade. I was out of the field for a couple of days. The last time put me in the hospital system for just over 7 months. That is a lifetime to a young man of 19. Hospital are boring, but from time to time some old WW1 vets would show up and take us out fishing. Those are some of the greatest memories I have and yet that was 45 years ago. I still have my zebco 33 that one of the guys gave me for christmas of '69.

About the SKC3, I have yet see any proof of cheating. My co captain has been Dan for the last couple of years and he is a retired DFG warden. He even made sure that our Marines kept their old bait on the boat when they changed bait. This way it could not be considered chumming. By the time we got back to the dock, that boat stunk really bad.

On your question of purple hearts earned by the marines, there seems to be a misunderstanding. About 13 of these guys were wounded by enemy action, all belonged to the wounded warrior battalion. Most of these guys are recently back from deployments to combat zone and are suffering from stress problems. They are being treated for PTSD. Not all combat injuries make you bleed. They are in the Camp Pendleton Wounded Warrior Battalion while under going treatment. This way, as they become better, they can rejoin their units instead of suffering for the rest of their lives. I'm lucky in that I never suffered from PTSD and I'm one of the few I know who is 100% VA disabled without it.

Remembering how broke I was in the service, my co and I sprung for drawing tickets for our Marines and it appears that some won prizes. At $5 a ticket and it being the end of the month, I don't think they could afford them. They all thanked us after the program.

Everybody I've seen in the video seemed really happy and nobody seemed like they were suffering. Hell, they're Marines. There was two captains meeting before the SKC3. The first in Starbucks in Temecual and a makeup at Knotts chicken house in Buena Park. They covered everything in those meetings.

On a side note, cory, it sound like your a good ambassador for the lake to combat against poaching. If their are individuals poaching the lake and selling the Bass for profit, that is pretty serious stuff.

Lastly, sounds like their was some darn good people doing some darn good things to help out. Hats off to those guys for helping out the Marines. From everything I had read it sounded like an excellent tourni, but I must be missing something to the story (I think).

The Marines of Camp Pendleton have a special unit called the Wounded Warrior Battalion, for Marines who are wounded, injured, or suffering from PTSD and unable to serve at this time in a regular unit. The men who fished with us were either staff or assigned to this unit. I don't know what is the connection they have to the money making group called the "Wounded Warrior Project ". Who do you suppose used the name "wounded warrior" first?

When you are selling raffle tickets and you run out of tickets, you merely go to the next roll in the box. No matter what color they might be.

I'm totally lost....Notice I put a question mark after each key point because after reading it I really have no idea what in the world you are talking about. Honestly, you sound like a weirdo on several medications who needs to check in with a responsible adult twice a day. Part/most of your story doesn't even make sense. What do LMB have to do with the SKCIII? (one of my many questions...along with: 'why am I reading this?' and 'Is this post actually giving me a headache?') This entire story was very hard to follow.

Stormcrow, it's nice to hear from you, maybe I need to go on FNN a little more often. First off, I was at the tournament and have been for the last three years. Barry and Ben keep asking me back each year not because I'm a great fisherman, but, because I can tie hooks, own a bunch of rods, and lastly, have a few life experiences. I was wounded twice in the Vietnam war. The first time was a cheap purple heart in both arms from a grenade. I was out of the field for a couple of days. The last time put me in the hospital system for just over 7 months. That is a lifetime to a young man of 19. Hospital are boring, but from time to time some old WW1 vets would show up and take us out fishing. Those are some of the greatest memories I have and yet that was 45 years ago. I still have my zebco 33 that one of the guys gave me for christmas of '69.

About the SKC3, I have yet see any proof of cheating. My co captain has been Dan for the last couple of years and he is a retired DFG warden. He even made sure that our Marines kept their old bait on the boat when they changed bait. This way it could not be considered chumming. By the time we got back to the dock, that boat stunk really bad.

On your question of purple hearts earned by the marines, there seems to be a misunderstanding. About 13 of these guys were wounded by enemy action, all belonged to the wounded warrior battalion. Most of these guys are recently back from deployments to combat zone and are suffering from stress problems. They are being treated for PTSD. Not all combat injuries make you bleed. They are in the Camp Pendleton Wounded Warrior Battalion while under going treatment. This way, as they become better, they can rejoin their units instead of suffering for the rest of their lives. I'm lucky in that I never suffered from PTSD and I'm one of the few I know who is 100% VA disabled without it.

Remembering how broke I was in the service, my co and I sprung for drawing tickets for our Marines and it appears that some won prizes. At $5 a ticket and it being the end of the month, I don't think they could afford them. They all thanked us after the program.

Everybody I've seen in the video seemed really happy and nobody seemed like they were suffering. Hell, they're Marines. There was two captains meeting before the SKC3. The first in Starbucks in Temecual and a makeup at Knotts chicken house in Buena Park. They covered everything in those meetings.

I hope my spelling wasn't too bad and I cleared up a few things for you. Message me if you need any other info.

The Marines of Camp Pendleton have a special unit called the Wounded Warrior Battalion, for Marines who are wounded, injured, or suffering from PTSD and unable to serve at this time in a regular unit. The men who fished with us were either staff or assigned to this unit. I don't know what is the connection they have to the money making group called the "Wounded Warrior Project ". Who do you suppose used the name "wounded warrior" first?

When you are selling raffle tickets and you run out of tickets, you merely go to the next roll in the box. No matter whamt color they might be.

I can tell you what I saw.



The Warriors bought their raffle tickets just like everyone else. (In my opinion, they have a right, like everyone else, to be able to see that the raffle is done fairly.)

Most of them were given blue raffle tickets instead of the white raffle tickets that most other people had. They were also wearing matching blue shirts that had been given to them at the event.

The drawing was not a blind draw. The tickets were in an open container with clear or translucent sides. People were looking down into the container to draw tickets. I don't know if there was a plan but the people were essentially not given the chance not to choose a ticket color.

I don't know the ratio of white to blue tickets but my impression was that not many blue tickets were called.

At one point the same number was called twice. It was only 2 below the lowest number that I was holding, so I noticed and called them on it.

This is very unprofessional. Who would put themselves in that position?

I've never seen a raffle done this way before!

The Marines noticed! I was standing with some of them and they were discussing it among themselves.



The next thing that I thought was unseemly was that Kewly (Kewlwhip on FNN) was handling most of the raffle MC duties.

I remember Kewlwhip posting other peoples fish pictures with his reports soon after he started guiding. I think he got busted for it, more than once, on another forum and then came to FNN and did it again.

It seemed to me that Kewly was very chummy with some of the winners who seemed to be winning multiple times.

Is this the right person to handle the raffle?



In addition, the boat that we went out on was damaged and hadn't been repaired. I wouldn't think that was a problem, if it weren't a safety issue. The rail at the port rear was broken away from the deck. It could be a serious problem if a non swimmer used it for balance and fell overboard.



Now onto the post of the results.

You can look at my post regarding this. The photos of the winners start with essentially the 4th place winner then go to the Champion. That didn't seem right to me, He even called 4th place a Champion. I wouldn't say it's criminal but I do think it's rude.

The explanation that I got second hand, is that it was meant to be a buildup "drum roll please" to the announcement of the winner.

I don't buy into that. Even a feeble attempt at this would have included the 2nd and 3rd place winners.

Not allowing T/O to participate in the guide auction was stupid, rude and selfish but I don't think it's criminal.



People with a better understanding of the law than me would have to determine if any of this is against the law.

I hope the sponsors are able to determine that it should be done better than this.

I remember when STRIPERS in DVL were a fable and FEAR. Back in the day Mark had a little boat with $2000 dollars of electronics on it. He was telling people that he thought that there might be stripers in DVL but nobody has caught one yet. Mark knows every rock pile in DVL and he said he metered schools of SOMETHING big.
This was back in the day when everybody was using either downriggers or leadcore to catch the big old holdover trout. Bobby was the slayer back then and everybody was friends. No harsh feelings what so ever.
Bruce,Nessie,Trollmeister,Pontoon,Fat Albert,Bigfish,Bob and yes Kewley... just to name a few.....We USED to have an annual event called the DVL Smackdown and it was for the prized "Pimp Cane" which was simply a cane made in mexico out of a bulls private parts...LOL
We had soooo much fun and everybody talked smack but all in good fun. Even our raffles were silly and I remember my little 5 year old daughter Tara pulling the tickets out of a box held by Bruce Watson.
We raffled off things like a Billy Bass or Hot spot float tube fins and yes.....Even a can of baked beans and bananas that Trolly donated...LOL
Bam Bam won the last official Smackdown on Bobs boat with me...I can remember the hit and Bob handing the rod to Billy. The winning fish was a huge full tailed Rainbow.....absolutely beautiful.Bob was shaking when he netted that fish!
He gave Billy the credit but Billy handed Bob the Cane and said....you deserve it !

BFF taught and showed the so-called legend what a Umbrella Rig really was...then after awhile BigBassFrank disappeared....

then there is the young upstart striper guide Kewly...this is the one that REALLY PISSES ME THE f3CK OFF. The kid did fish with Bob and those two were almost inseperable...i remember kewly giving the nickname to Bob "uncle B"...most people wont know... pictures that were posted between these two were always priceless...kewlys smiles, and jokes, Bobs aimless dimeanor to everyone... back in the day kewly was TO's "good luck" charm...then we go back about 4 years when all things changed. I personally know Kewly and how he has started, what his profession/background was...building aftermarket cars and DJ'ing...not fishing, that was his way of "getting away from it all" him before he went off and did his own...he did get banned from FNN because he posted pictures with his newly started guide business...FNN didnt like that and im sure some of the "powers that be" didnt like it either and Banned him indefinately so there is a reason why he cannot post here on FNN.

T.O. came and wanted all THE SOCAL / DVL lakes to himself as a guide…he used to attack almost all the other pro guides in the “golden years” it was a mess…(do a search for 2004-2005 you’ll find everything FNN) up to now I can see it still continues…the only difference is Kewly didn’t disappear, he put his head down and started from scratch …I can say this…he has solid sponsors who back him and most of them have fished on his boat multiple times...they dont throw umbrella rigs or cutbait on swimbait rods lol...i can tell you that they are watching everything including these posts…im sure if his sponsors saw other or knew that all these harsh slander and attacks against him something will arise…remember the kid (hes in his 30's lol) also has video footage, photos and more with him and all his clients…just visit him on his social feeds and see where he’s at now after 4-5 years…

I love the fishing world and “most” of the people in it…I just hate slander, invites to fight (going into the woods?...to pee or to what?) now i have to call b/s on you bam bam , mike peestick is still a friend of mine and we fished alot together till he got his own boat ,his best friend and fishing buddy was murdered remember pootyang and that was the end of his fishing and the boat ,he mountain bikes and hunts and spends most of his time with his wife and son. and yes frank showed me his type of trolling which he got from old man john who is a great friend at castaic with me these days, and i showed frank how to downrig and catch big trout ,which i did the day you won the dvl deal on my boat fishing my way.i took what frank was doing and pushed forward ten fold, then he tried the guide buisness and failed ,he took me and trolly out and was are friend for a while the diaspered. kewly didnt give me that nickname ,and he wasnt my goodluck charm, he was my charity case and i felt sorry for him and what had happened to his brother . the only time kewly won at the dvl was on my boat using my lures cause his didnt work, because i ran each one of our lures on each dr, i won kewly just reeled them in. i treated like a friend and he just stole from me and that was the end of that , bloodydecks kicked him out for the b/s dvl lunkerpunker post which he used pics from friend of mine up norths from a report from3yrs earlier

BFF BigBassFrank... one of my old friends that started alot of the URIG gig that almost all of you are doing or following because of a "legend" that says he started it all...well I have some knowledge that only OG's would know from the old FNN. BFF taught and showed the so-called legend what a Umbrella Rig really was...then after awhile BigBassFrank disappeared....

then there is the young upstart striper guide Kewly...this is the one that REALLY PISSES ME THE f3CK OFF. The kid did fish with Bob and those two were almost inseperable...i remember kewly giving the nickname to Bob "uncle B"...most people wont know... pictures that were posted between these two were always priceless...kewlys smiles, and jokes, Bobs aimless dimeanor to everyone... back in the day kewly was TO's "good luck" charm...then we go back about 4 years when all things changed. I personally know Kewly and how he has started, what his profession/background was...building aftermarket cars and DJ'ing...not fishing, that was his way of "getting away from it all" him before he went off and did his own...he did get banned from FNN because he posted pictures with his newly started guide business...FNN didnt like that and im sure some of the "powers that be" didnt like it either and Banned him indefinately so there is a reason why he cannot post here on FNN.

I wouldn't have questioned the ticket colors if there had been a blind draw. The thing is that there was not a blind draw!

The handling of the tickets concerned me when I saw it and this video is only showing some of it.

It may be innocent. If it's innocent, why not avoid the appearance of wrong doing?

This video may not prove that there was cheating but it doesn't come close to relieving anyone's concerns either. Actually the handling of the tickets caused my concerns.

Every time I've been at a raffle in the past, measures were taken to avoid these concerns.

Were the tickets organized so that selections would be made from certain groups of tickets? What is shown in this video is what causes me to ask.

Handling the raffle so that obvious concerns are not addressed is poor judgment, at the least. It's a clear opportunity for unscrupulous people.

Personally, I can't believe that it was done this way. I've seen kids do it better.

Im just a guy who tries my best with whatever I do and I try my best to patient with my guide clients and get them on BASS to the best of my abilities. I have no ill will towards any other guides out there. There are better striper guides then others as there are better bass guides then others. Am I the best Bass guide? Im not sure about that, that's up to my clients to decide. Of coarse Id like to say yes because I know what I put into it and that is simply 100% effort. Of all the questions you asked, the thing that troubles me is the Wounded warrior project connection.

A long time ago in my bass tournament days (sorry tb) the California dept of corrections officers held a tournament for the WWP charity.
A officer named Russell Marta ran it.

Long story short, Questions were asked, things were fishy as well.. Come to find out WWP was never contacted, no proceeds went to the foundation, they never heard of the event, yet the name was the main focal point and draw for the giving fishing community.

Ended up this Mr. Marta scammed and pocketed the money.


Wwp did not files criminal charges but did threaten with a law suit and shut the event down forever

Now I'm not saying SKC is or isn't doing this but the WWP was assumed to be involved, this dance post tourney of "I never said Wounded, and some were, some weren't" sounds too much like Clinton speak.

At least these Marines were shown a great time, they seem very appreciative and great men (even for Braves fans) and it was cool to see a bunch of true red blooded Americans giving up some of their time to give these guys some just deserved.

Wow, I just spent over an hour reading all of this, missing my baseball playoff game by the way, and I am sitting here still shaking my head at what I am reading. As a three year contributor to the SKC, I am very shocked at what I am reading. Cheating? What cheating, and how? What am I missing here? Please let me know! I know my boat was inspected through and through, by not one DFW person, but two. Kyle and the other guy, whom I have never seen before, went through my boat with a fine toothed comb. I guess I looked like a criminal with the owner of Optimum Bait Company, and a City of Downey police officer being with me.

Before I subject myself to the abuse that I know will follow, please be gentle, let it be known that I too am a veteran of the armed services. I was a member of the U.S. Submarine Service, serving aboard two nuclear fast attack submarines, and I will always lend a hand when it comes to our fighting men and women. Be it the SKC tournaments, or the actual Wounded Warrior bass tournaments that are held each year, you will find me there. Because I like to fly low under the radar, I usually go unseen or heard. That's just the way I am.

Now what I do know is this! I know that the money collected with the SKC tournament, and the "Live Guide Auction" was meant to go to the Police Athletic League, which helps the local kids, and to Valley Wide Recreation. Valley Wide is the local Hemet recreation department that controls the local park and recreation activities. This is what I have known to be the reason for this whole charity tournament event. I for one would be very disappointed to hear that the funds generated never made it to the intended parties. I want to believe that no fraud was committed, as has been suspected with this posted topic.

I would like to also state that I too donated guide trips to the auction, as I do every year, but I never heard my donations offered up during this years raffle. It was mentioned last year, and the previous year, but maybe they just overlooked it this year. I would also like to mention that one of my sponsors, Optimum Bait Company, donated a ton of fishing lures, as they do every year, but I never heard their name mentioned.

By the way, Optimum Bait Company is the direct importer and supplier of the Ima and Deps products that so many of you use. I am sure some of you have heard of the Slideswimmer 250. I felt very bad for them, as they are always a major contributor to all the local charity events. They never said a word about it, it was just my observation.

As for the guides, I do believe it was a crime to not have Bob "T.O". involved. I joined FNN way back in 2003, and Bob was the man back then. I do not know of another guide who has caught more stripers, from different lakes, than Bob. Bob my hat's off to you. I forgot to mention his trout catching abilities. Second to none.

Greg Silks. It is a crying shame when a man of his reputation and stature can only drum up $250 for his services. Greg is a legend, and his reputation precedes him. The inventor of the "Z" plug, and now he is producing his very own line of striper rods, and all he can get is $250 for his services. That was the biggest crime of the day. No one, and trust me, no one knows that lake like Greg.

Pete Marino. Pete is a rising star in the guiding game, and I appreciated his honesty in not trying to sell himself as a striper guide. I wish I was more like Pete, and could show that same kind of emotion and exuberance. Pete and I both represent Dobyns Rods, and I am proud to be on the same team as him. Thank you Pete for all you did to help out with the SKC. It was a better event with your presence.

Kewly. I really don't know Kewly, except for when I see him at the annual SKC event. All I can say is that he has always been nice and respectful to me. I will not throw stones here. None of us is perfect, and certainly none of us live in glass houses. We all learned something from someone.

Donnie Spencer. Many of you asked at the event, who is Don Spencer. Don has been a three year contributor for the SKC, and it would be hard to meet a nicer person. Donnie is a very quiet and spiritual man, but as hard core as they come when it requires putting people on fish. Donnie is the man for guiding at Irvine Lake. And that would be for bass, trout, or catfish. I missed seeing you this year my friend.

Mr. Bruce Watson, and Mr. Frank Catalano, thank you very much for all you do, and for all you have done. I know you both, and your both hero's to me.

As for me, I will not blow my own horn here. I am not a so called striper guide, but believe me when I tell you I have landed some big stripers from my boat. They were all caught on swimbaits, but they were not my intended target. They also were never weighed in at the marina, but pictures may have been posted on FNN. Not sure though. It was my pleasure to have been involved in the SKC, and I want to believe that only good things came from it. Thank you Mr. Jerry Price for your $600 bid for my guide service. You will have a great time at Vail Lake, I promise.

I will close by saying that I have been fishing for almost 50 years, from the very northwest tip of Washington state, to Cabo San Lucas, and I have never seen as much drama as I have seen from guys who fish Diamond Valley Lake. It's not just the SKC either. That's why I mostly guide at Vail Lake now. It really sucks when you come off the water and find your truck vandalized, or your business cards thrown in the trash, and then you hear it was done from another guide. Or how about when you find your trailer tire slashed. Never had that happen at Vail Lake.

People always ask me why I no longer fish bass tournaments, and the main reason is the drama. I enjoyed my days tournament fishing back in the 80's and early 90's, but it's not even the same game anymore. Largemouth or stripers, it does not matter. It's not the fish, it's the people.The SKC was supposed to benefit the children, but from what I am reading, the children are the victims. Please someone tell me I am wrong. I do want to believe that the children are our fishing future.

I won a leather raiders jacket at an event and saved it for my cool homeless guy who garbage dives for recycling. I've donated big $$$ when I see a good cause.

I do not know Kewly, as I stated, so I am not kissing his ***. He said hello to me, and that was it. Nothing more was ever said between him and I for the entire day. I have not seen or talked to him since the last SKC event last year, and it was hello only. I don't really know the guy. Honestly I would not have recognized him. I have not spent 2 minutes talking to him in the last 3 SKC events. I know nothing about the guy.

I was asking about what cheating occurred at the event because I am in the dark, and had not heard about it. I just wanted to know what happened. Tonight is the first I heard about it, and I heard about it from another website. If cheating occurred, it needs to be corrected now. I am total agreement with what you are tying to convey.

Yes you are right! I'd much rather see the guides who won lures at a benefit event hand the winning lures over to the people who are being hosted at the event. If it was just a normal tournament or derby with a raffle I could see your point. This is a benefit event thanking our wounded warriors, it doesn't have to stop at just a free boat ride does it?

Did you miss the part where I said I am not a cop. You have me confused with someone else Corey. I have never been a cop, I have never wanted to be a cop. I work for a local water agency, and have been an employee for over 20 years. I do not know how I ended up with this target on my back. All I did was offer up my services to help raise money for some kids. I guess that back fired on me.

Corey I know nothing about your videos. Heck I hardly ever visit this site anymore. I know nothing about any videos taken of anything. I have never seen a single one of your videos, so how could I comment on them. I do not watch any videos by anyone, but I am sure yours are great though. It's nice that you have such a passion for your interest.

As far as your statement about DVL being commercially fished, I have no knowledge of it. Remember I don't frequent this site very often, so I miss a lot. If someone else had not alerted me about this current topic of discussion, I would not have known about it. Because I am at Vail Lake all the time, I really never read anything regarding DVL.

Now what part of me being on your side are you not understanding. If a wrong occurred, it needs to be corrected. We are in 100% agreement on this. Wherever a wrong occurred, it's needs to be addressed. Now I had no knowledge of any cheating. I bought $40 worth of raffle tickets, and did not win squat. But then I did not care either. I am sorry about the way Bob was treated at DVL Corey. It was, and is not right. All the guides have suffered at one time or another from a certain guide who did wrong by other guides. This was witnessed by lake employees'. And all of this occurring on the very day that a certain guide is trolling around the parking lot, trying to entice old folks to go on a guide trip. This is why I left DVL and went to Vail in the first place. I am sorry I issued any comment at all, and I apologize for my contribution to the drama.

Did you miss the part where I said I am not a cop. You have me confused with someone else Corey. I have never been a cop, I have never wanted to be a cop. I work for a local water agency, and have been an employee for over 20 years. I do not know how I ended up with this target on my back. All I did was offer up my services to help raise money for some kids. I guess that back fired on me.

Corey I know nothing about your videos. Heck I hardly ever visit this site anymore. I know nothing about any videos taken of anything. I have never seen a single one of your videos, so how could I comment on them. I do not watch any videos by anyone, but I am sure yours are great though. It's nice that you have such a passion for your interest.

As far as your statement about DVL being commercially fished, I have no knowledge of it. Remember I don't frequent this site very often, so I miss a lot. If someone else had not alerted me about this current topic of discussion, I would not have known about it. Because I am at Vail Lake all the time, I really never read anything regarding DVL.

Now what part of me being on your side are you not understanding. If a wrong occurred, it needs to be corrected. We are in 100% agreement on this. Wherever a wrong occurred, it's needs to be addressed. Now I had no knowledge of any cheating. I bought $40 worth of raffle tickets, and did not win squat. But then I did not care either. I was sitting in the parking lot under my EZ up, just trying to stay cool. Remember you came by and said hello? I sat there until it was over, and I quietly left. I can see your concern regarding the raffle. The video doesn't show that there is any cheating going on.
That would all be assumption. But I do think they should have put the tickets in a bigger box up front for all to see them get mixed around and picked out...

I put a real Fishing show out every week ! All year long ! If the show shows cheating ! The shows called The Reel Brothers ! It's Real ! Look at my History !

Maybe the tournament organizers would publish a financial statement showing the income from ticket sales, donations, expenses, etc. and most important how much went to each charity. Post copies of the checks and verify they were received by the charity.

Is this tournament run by a 501(c)3 or just some guys trying to do good in the name of the charities? My kids play youth baseball and I won't sign them up until I have reviewed the financial statements. Even then, youth sports are loaded with people ripping off kids and parents.

If this tournament is not run by a non-profit, then buyer beware. If you suspect cheating or other malfeasance, you really have no recourse other than to put them out of business by not buying the product and you have to assume the tournament is making money for someone. Even in non-profit companies, it is legal for management to be paid and get salaries and bonuses. It seems that if Bass Pro and Toyota were donating they would require the non profit corporate tax ID so they can get a tax credit.

There is nothing on the SKC ticket or Facebook page that says they are non-profit. But the ticket does say "Net Proceeds" go to the charities. And as anyone is business knows, "net proceeds" can be anything you want it to be, including after organizers get paid. There is also no company or non-profit organization listed with the California secretary of state or the California DOJ under the name Striper King Classic.

So SKC guys, who are you legally and will you produce a financial statement?

BTW, I was not at the tournament and I only get out to DVL a couple times a year and I have never met anyone that I know is on this FNN site. I am just a bystander that wants the best for the charities, DVL and the future. I was hoping there might be a kids tournament or something in the future but with this kind of crap going on, I will think twice before getting involved.

Nobody on FNN got booted for posting a report with no fish. The fraudulent guide basically tried to undermine a real guide. The fraud posted pics and reports making FNN think they were his. That's illegal business practice and deceptive with intent to cause damage to another company. The fraud even stole some of the REAL guide's clients. As a matter of fact, someone did get banned for a week for posting a fishing report at a lake that happens to be a sponsor of this site. The report was deleted, then the original poster posted again asking why his report was deleted, then he was banned.
Regardless if my post had made sense or not, there is no reason for anyone to tell me to shut up. I am a vet myself, and i fought in a war to protect my (and everyone elses) right to freedom of speech. Granted this forum is privately owned and therefore may have its own rules, Ill be damned if someone "pops" on me for making a statement.

As a matter of fact, someone did get banned for a week for posting a fishing report at a lake that happens to be a sponsor of this site. The report was deleted, then the original poster posted again asking why his report was deleted, then he was banned.
Regardless if my post had made sense or not, there is no reason for anyone to tell me to shut up. I am a vet myself, and i fought in a war to protect my (and everyone elses) right to freedom of speech. Granted this forum is privately owned and therefore may have its own rules, Ill be damned if someone "pops" on me for making a statement.

I could really care less about DVL if this is the type of behavior displayed by those who frequent that lake.

Swore two years ago I would never put another word on the internet as long as I lived. Hey casting call, this is a crazy serious thread. Your original comment didn't really make any sense and I imagine that's why you got popped off on. Nobody on FNN got booted for posting a report with no fish. The fraudulent guide basically tried to undermine a real guide. The fraud posted pics and reports making FNN think they were his. That's illegal business practice and deceptive with intent to cause damage to another company. The fraud even stole some of the REAL guide's clients. Now the fraud is being accused of cheating and other normal DVL activity. The fraud is kewly the REAL guide is TO.


I wouldn't take offense to hardcor's comment, this DVL stuff has been going on for years and now its taking this to bring it to an end! Basically it's choose a side either with the Frauds/cheaters or with the old DVL guys and non cheaters.

That said, it is a little personal to me to correct the etiquette on this lake. Thank you hardcore for showing a passion and getting the attention of the greater fishing public so I could tell everyone -if your coming to DVL be respectful to all while your enjoying a world class fishery- if everyone who patrons this lake has a change of attitude and respects each other we as a whole can once show the world why So Cal is magical. 2. No proceeds went to the wounded warrior project, per the illegal use of the logo on the flyer.

3. Cheating, well that's subjective. Some may call clear containers with multi colored tickets, while not using the blind draw, while also going inand out of sight cheating.
Ron posted the California law requirements for charitable raffles.

4. Even "IF" the "net proceeds" went to the charities listed, the organizers cost those said charities over 1000 dollars in funds Hardcor willing to spend on Bobs auction but out of hatred towards TO they refused to offer bobs service in the bidding.

5. Sure the DFW inspected the boats, but how about the vehicles that entered with ice chests in the trunk? Those ice. Nests were not inspected? They went onto boats?.

You nay sayers wake up! That's all. Believe it or not no biggie. The fact that the Wounded Warrior Project was used to pimp this event to the sponsors, to the FNN, to the anglers that participated should alone give cause to find fault in this event.

What kind of person holds a Wounded Warrior event and doesn't even donate to the charity itself?. Hell Wounded Warriors were just a happenstance to have been there. Only 3 of the 36 were. In one of Coreys videos SGT Dennison says he wasn't a WW and he won the damn thing and felt guilty. That's why he proclaimed he wasn't a WW.

Wake up guys, this isn't about weighing in dead fish from two days ago, its about faulty advertisement and illegal use of the Wounded Warrior Project and our compashion for those boys.

So I never checked FNN over the weekend. I now see this thing has blossomed into 23 pages....It was 6 on Friday before I left for Oktoberfest Wow....

I just want to say that my only comment at the beginning was made trying to understand what had happened because I was not there. It made for somewhat interesting, albeit difficult reading, and I was intrigued. I bit on it when I probably shouldn't have. It had nothing to do with me in any way, shape or form.....Darkshadow's brain probably exploded after the 3rd re-read of the initial post. Now, this thing has exploded out of control. Lawyers, physical threats, defamation, slamming DFW and DVL staff, and Art Hill....Really? Art Hill??????.....This is as crazy as it is sad. With that in mind, I want to clear up my little piece of misunderstanding that might result from the inability of some individuals to effectively comprehend proper writing or communicate in the English language. Basically, I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression of what I asked about. So....

I KNOW Pete Marino is a good guy. Yes, he is a bit eccentric...but a very good guy who is dedicated and friendly. I never said otherwise! I just didn't know how he fit into the initial story.

I still have yet to see ANY real, concrete evidence of cheating in all of Hardcor's rants. So, I am still not convinced either way....Any evidence that does exist is entirely circumstantial to me.

I'm sorry, but Nessie Hunter is one of the most legit, dignified individuals I have ever met off of this site. I have known him for years. I take his word over any other at this point. Further, from what I know, Bruce Watson has always been as straight shooter.

On a final note I would like to say that if you are priding yourself on being a Marine, Hardcor, you should know that other members of our armed forces might cringe at your poor grammar, and your accusatory, threatening attitude. As for me personally, I have never served. Sorry, I was wasting time at UCLA and playing baseball. However, I respect those that have served. You are not representing them well. I certainly hope DVL can host another event next year and when they do I will volunteer to make sure our soldiers catch some fish on the water....

This sounds to me like you're just trying to insert yourself into a drama that you aren't involved in. Have you received enough attention yet?
