If you were planning on heading up soon and camping, you may find most of the campgrounds closed... Just wanted to give a heads up!

Campgrounds affected are Federal (Forest Service, BLM and National parks). There are still private campgrounds available in Bishop, Mammoth and Bridgeport

do you know the names of campgrounds still open? Heading up there on the 9th for a week, wanted to camp for 3 days then staying in june pines cottages. thanks

Try brown's town in Bishop. They have two locations, one right on the river.
Don't know the name of the one in Mammoth but is right on the main drag as you go in and is open all winter as well.
