Irvine Lake or SARL Thursday night 10-3-13?

Just curious what people have to say about which to fish.
I have my brother coming in from out of town and want to show him a good time fishing for catfish.
He has never caught one (on purpose that is) before. He's always fished trout.


What are people's thoughts on Irvine vs SARL?

Probably should have put this in the freshwater general discussion section and not either lakes specific section so as to not stir the pot unnecissarly. JMO

I am a Irvine guy so I would point you in that direction based on my personal likes and experience their. But I would not trash SARL since I have no recent history here.

I'm sure others will chime in with other opinions.
