Why we were set up for Sharks and Rays, Khanh Catches and releases two huge Shortfin Corvina's

caught on a 7 foot rod with 8 pound line and a piece of Sardine stabbed onto a 2/0 wire hook !

That was an awesome fishing trip. We never went more than a few minutes before we caught another fish.

What is your estimate length and weight, at the bigger of the two?
I'm curious, as I caught a 26"er, from the surf, a few months back.

They spent 36 years healing the bay and now it is pressteen !Now it's a big beautiful 28 mile long lake ! That has over 26 world Records !

Khanh's big Corvina was 29 inches by 18 inches round ! that puts you at about 6 to 6.5 pounds !

26 incher from the surf ! That's a great catch ! All Tackle World Record Shortfin Corvina is 10 pounds 6 oz !

You can't tell is was that big from the video, SWEET FISH!

My big net is a 30 inch Promar rubber net made for catch and release ! It makes everything look small.

These were the good old days and the good eating fish in the salton Sea, before it died. The last pic is the last year there were corvina in the sea. The largest I caight was 33.5 pounds
Man those were the days. We will never see it again.
