I'm proud of my ancestors.

I thought I would start a Thread where everyone could say something nice about their families. In this thread you can say anything about any ancestor or relative that you have, that's makes you proud to be related to them. Let me start with my family on my father's side. You don't have to say great, great we get the idea.

Part 1.

My family didn't come over on the Mayflower, but they weren't too far behind. The four big family names that I'm related to are the Talbot's, Tucker's Judy's and Langdon's. Our oldest relative was a Judy who came to the new world from England in 1630. He was a ship's captain and owner and he set up his operations around Boston in the Massacutes Bay Colony. Next came the Talbot's and Langdon's families from England, they were all gentlemen farmer's. All three of my relative's family's fought for Independence for the United States. The most notable post revolutionary war relative was a Langdon. He was an Uncle, who was asked to participate in drawing up the USA Constitution. He not only participated in drawing up the USA Constitution, he also had the honor to sign it. Next notable relative I have is a Talbot. He fought with General Harrison in the war of 1812. I'll stop right there. I hate comments that are way too long. If this thread takes off, I've got some more great family history to write about.

My ancestors created a pretty formidable calendar system, and a complex understanding of astronomy. Built some pretty elaborate cities without the use of heavy machinery, and had a good understanding of mathematics, and had the world's first written languages.

He was a master blacksmith and did many old churches in LA. They took the train from Ellis Island. Saved every penny, bought a house years later had 1 child.

I really can not say that I'm proud. Since they are White it would be considered RACIST or WHITE PRIDE. Had to marry a Latina to help mix up the gene pool and get away from the stereotype. Hopefully in 500 years the USA people will all be a neutral color and all this White Pride, Black Pride, Brown Pride will be a thing of the past.

Being a native american (at least a tiny part) cant be pretty lucrative. I know a lady who has a small percentage of native american blood that collects 10k/mo from casinos, hasnt worked one day in her life. Her kids will follow in her footsteps.

The Scandinavian came from my mothers side and arrived in America in the mid 1600's. The German side arrived here just prior to the start of WWI. Many of my German ancestors stayed in Germany and were killed either resisting the Nazi's, or died fighting for the Nazi's. My dad, born here in the States fought in the war and did in fact run into relatives on both sides while there. I have lots of Barbarian warrior blood in me hence why I will not back down from my beliefs and I am not ever intimidated by anyone, especially "Lady" Quagga...

When you talk about the ancestry of people color comes into play. Indians, Bigfoot, N/S American Indians, Inca, Aztec, Europe, Asia, Africa.

Here is a example. My Chilean wife of 26 years is whiter than I am, were talking white (black hair) her sister/brothers too. No sun for her, I have a t-shirt, darker face/arms darker tan. Here is the one I am proud of it's my dad, we have fished Legg Lake and Puddingstone before a lot of you FNN members were even born and I love to read your posts about local lakes. Here is my dad in Canada with a salmon years ago, I took the picture when I was a kid sometime in the late 1950s and here is my hero eating his last Christmas Dinner at age 97.4270242703
