Hi koifish, I was there also this morning with my nephew. You were killing them out there. Now I know the secret baits that
you guys use lol. It was nice to finally meet you in person. Oh and thanks for the tip. We managed to catch two schoolies
and had to leave so I can get some rest for work tonight. Would have loved to stay and try to see if they would boil in the
evening though.

Mike714 I was laughing at Cutbait mikes comments, not your post, but if you read and follow recent posts at Castaic you would realize that the topwater bite is going on pretty good right now, hence the TW remarks. TW works great for stripers and the green bass, even in the winds yesterday people all up and down the dam and shoreline were hammering the stripers with TW. If you want catfish, fish some type of bait of the bottom.....Wasnt trying to make fun of you...........Dave

Mike714 I was using a 4"KPN shad yesterday, but others were using spooks and all types of topwater baits, or anything that might run just under the surface....Watch for the shad disturbing the surface and cast in that area, yesterday wolfpacks of stripers were chasing the shad up and down the shoreline, even boiling within casting distance from the shore....................Dave

Dave, i'm apprecaited for the inputs, and thank you so much you guys.
gotta go this Sat
I'll be there as well. From a rental if winds permit, from shore if not. Big Chinese dude with slightly smaller brother. LOL
Sounds like Castaic is gonna be a zoo this weekend.
Yeah, I tend to do that to places. LOL

Is it racist if what you just described is exactly every rental I've ever seen?
If so, my apologies my Asian friends
That's just cuz you haven't met me. I think I'm not normal 'big'. 5'9, 300+. Usual big for Chinese guys is probably 5'6 and 150.
HA!
