Hi guys,

I am planning on going out to Rock Creek Lake Saturday night for camping and leaving Monday. I'M going with a friend and his son, which is my Godson also (11 yrs old). This will be his first real fishing experience.

Wondering what kind of weather will be up there, since we have rain and low temps in the LA area. Should I go ahead with the trip or cancel?

Thanks in advance for the help

Snow tomorrow and Saturday....it's snowing right now at Parchers where I live. We're about 25 miles south of them but similar in elevation so I would expect that the conditions there are aproximately the same. We're not expecting a whole lot as far as accumulation and it's not sticking right now but there has been pretty much constant light snow flurries since this morning. This should wake the fish up and get them into the fall pattern...that's the good news.

Well as of right now I live in Independence and it is fairly cold here and has started raining. Indy is at 4,000 ft. Rock Creek is at 9,700 ft and most of the weekend is supposed to be rainy and cold. Tioga Pass is closed right now. Right up above Manzanar here there are clouds covering the Mtns and a little bit of snow at the very top of Sheperd's Creek.

Here is a quick link to some weather at Rock Creek:
