Northern SWAT session 9/23

A beautiful evening here in Santa Barbara last night .. Dave , Mike and I met up and fished last hour . It was flat and calm , clear water and very little weeds . Doesn’t take much to get us excited ‘ the way conditions have been around here . And bonus , bait in the water ! Dave was nailing the perch by the rocks while Exfactor and I threw LC’s . Early on I hooked a baby , and then a legal 24.5 , Mikey scored a legal 22.5 right at dusk …Goodtimes and another 21 pts . for team fish storm . WTG- Ex !!! We have to keep putting on the heat if were going to keep this lead …

I was texting with Mikey last night and he had mentioned that there were two legals that had been beached by our SWAT Brotha's from the northern region! :Big Smile::Applause:WTG! Too bad it was the other team! :Envious: Mikey told me to :EyePop: watch for your posting!

Our team was getting so close (to within 4 points) to catching your team and now you've added another 21 points to spread your lead again! Nice going guys! WTG!

Very nice short session fellas! 2 legals in an hour is outstanding! Maybe I need to go up north to shake off the skunk (skunk for legals that is)...

Way to go on the double legals! Conditions look great up there. We went on an afternoon session yesterday, but couldn't find any legals or MONSTER WSBs. LOL See ya guys on Saturday :Cool:

Homefish ... you got it . I modified a drain cover into a portable sand crab scoop. The openings are just right to get me dime size or bigger. If I'm perch fishing I will mainly use a grub , but if I spot beans cruz'n around , I will load up my butt back with crabs , and switch to a mosquito hook and light floro to up my odds of hooking a 28" monster !!!

Small wire baskets w/ 3/8" openings will fit in a pack-pack and work well also.
