I have one free rental today so I hit Castaic solo again for a quick 1/2 day. The bites were very good from 9-11 am. Limited in 2 hours. Some bigger units came up and also farmed a few more...LOL
PS: I did not see any boils.....

I've been bad lately about anchoring in spots that are dependable for fishing and easy to anchor in. My back just can't take moving around. I like finding schools and giving them a shot but it's too much work.

what baits or lures if fish from the boat is recommened. and how is shore fishing?

best fresh sardine is a key.....for boat. I don't use lures so I don't know.....LOL....
shore fishing is picking up if you want to target green carps.
