Went to Puddingstone yesterday and caught a 5" fish. Not a bluegill and not a trout. Looked a little bit like a trout. Would this be a shad or maybe a smallmouth bass. Next time I'll take a picture of it.

42503I'll bet it is a Green Sunfish. Looks like a bass painted like a bluegill. Big mouth, hearty appetite. would make a great gamefish but only tops out at 9 inches.

Well not true. I've seen some in the 12" class.

There's no smallmouth bass in Puddingstone whatsoever. If there is then it's news to me but I've never seen one pulled out of there...wish you had a pic to show us.

It may have been a Squawfish.

Not a Bluegill and not a trout, but looked a little like a trout, but might be a shad or Smallmouth Bass, looked kinda like a carp, but might have been a Green Sunfish, but could have been a shiner or Asian Carp, or possibly a crappie... WTH? BRING A CAMERA NEXT TIME....

This is too funny, the thread is a total fail. It was probably a tilapia.
