I was just wondering if you were to compare different bass boats to see what boat sat the shallowest in the water which one do you think would come up top. Literally ha or is there no significant difference when compared.

thanks

Is this a general boat question or are you looking to buy a shallow boat ? Is so you budget is needed.
A 10' aluminum Jon flat bottom boat is as shallow as they come. Maybe 2" of draft ?

No just a general question. I was thinking of fiberglass boats though. With outboard motors.

That Jon boat was just a smartass remark, lol.

Most bass boats are shallow, not much difference.
The motor/prop is where is where you have the problem.
That is where the Jon boat with oars wins.

Well there has to be some type of difference in hall shapes and designs in different bass boats. Disregarding the prop problem because when the fish are shallow and you are fishing shallow water you are going to lift the jack plate or adjust the tilt.

I had an older bass tracker (1987) that was flat bottomed.. very shallow draft maybe 4" with the engine up..
