Isolunar Forecast: Minor Period: 0928 to 1058 hrs. :BFish::BFish::BFish::BFish:
Bait presence: An over abundance of bait every where!
Duration:0600 hrs to 1030 hrs.
Assault Tactic: LC 110 MS Anchovy
Gear: Saint Croix Avid 9'-6" 8-17 lb MF, Van Staal VS-100G reel with 55 lb 8-carrier braided Diawa Samurai line. My back up (same set-up) had 20 lb Izor XXX mono on the reel.
AO (Area of Operation): LA County
1st AO: Feet in salt at 0600 hrs. I beached my skunk buster, a 20" pancake at 0600 hrs and a short YFC at 0630 hrs. I worked this beach from one end to the other. I was knocking on every door but nobody was answering!
2nd AO: I make the trek over "Heart Attack Summit" and feet are once again in the salt at 0715 hrs.
I jumped up and down .... stomping my boots on the beach ... challenging the enemy to send out their very best! It never happened! The cowards ... and for NADA!
Back to 1st AO: I make the trek once again over "Heart Attack Summit" and feet are once again in the salt at 0900 hrs.
Fished the entire beach again for no luv. NADA! The bite just didn't happen and it looked like it could have been promising .... Oh well!
All fish CPR'd in the water with no pic's! Team Points: 1 point. :)
I ran into a young teenager named Caddin and he was with his mother. He was fishing (fishsheps) the drop shot method with squid and Gulp worms.
So we talked for about 30 minutes about fishing and HG-5 and he was impressed with my LC110 MS Anchovy.
So in parting ... I reached down and grabbed by pliers ... cut it off my line ... and gave it to him. MAN .... the smile on Caddin's face .... priceless!
I hope to see you at HG-5!
Ended my session at 1030 hrs.

Isolunar Forecast: Minor Period: 1112 hrs to 1157 hrs. :BFish::BFish::BFish:
Bait Presence: 1st AO had an over abundance of bait. The 2nd AO had zilch!
Duration:0600 hrs to 0930 hrs.
Assault Tactic: LC 110 MS Anchovy
Gear: Saint Croix Avid 9'-6" 8-17 lb MF, Van Staal VS-100G reel with 55 lb 8-carrier braided Diawa Samurai line. No back up gear.

Get ready .... here come the pictures!
1st AO: Feet in salt at 0600 hrs. I beached my skunk buster, a 15" pancake at 0620 hrs, a short Checker Side at 0715 hrs and another a short Checker Side at 0730 hrs.. I worked this beach from one end to the other and threw in the white flag! I figured I had one more chance to engage the enemy, so I ............
2nd AO: I make the trek over "Heart Attack Summit" and feet are once again in the salt at 0800 hrs. I'm fan casting the entire beach and way deep into the kelp like a Dentist giving a root canal for 30 minutes for NADA and then I began to cover the same areas again and I get a huge SLAM and a side ways run! Mind you ... last week I got slammed and it ran into the kelp forest with my new LC110 MS Anchovy, so this time my 30 lb drag was probably set to 20 lbs+. It makes the power run to the kelp line and I've got my reel in full PTO! It dove deep and found a hidden boiler boiler down there!!! I tried to pull it out but it wasn't going to happen! So I slacked off on my line to take the pressure off it and the :EyePop: wait began! I wasn't two minutes I could feel it's heavy weight trying to take line once again ... and I turned on the PTO once again!! I wasn't giving it another chance at making a run for the kelp! With a little assistance from a small wave .... the 20 1/4" toad and my new PB was slid on to the sand at 0830 hrs.
All fish were CPR'd, some in the water with no pic's and the Calico required a photo OP on the sand! Team Points: 8 points :)
What a difference a day makes!
