So i woke up yesterday to find that my neighbor torn my waders from stem to stern with a rake while they were hanging out side. SWEET!!! guess I'm trunkin it this morning...
Hit an ao i have been eying arrived right at the lowest tide, there is a ton of rocks and under water formation here so i went with a 115 in sexy smelt to keep it off the bottom and prevent losing another lc, low and behold it snagged and i had to cut it loose, (i swore i heard a bugle playing in the distance for another lost soldier). I go to the tackle shop after realizing that was my last lc grrr unprepared!!! I only had enough cash on my for one lure so I go with tried and true super glow sardene.
Rush back to the spot tie it on and waged an all out assault on the sea, every other cast was a yfc, short hali, sngf, or small bass. After about 45 min of carnage on the shore the bite comes to a screeching stop, while working back to my starring point i pull in a 19 inch hali quick cpr and were both on our way.
I decide on a few more casts before heading to the truck, first cast out the line snaps sending my new lure out to the depths of tarterus :mad: bring my total count to 8 lost this year.
