My wife has a 2011 chevy equinox and it was making noise when she started it up. So I asked a few of the guys at work what it could be one said it might be a bad oil pump. So I asked another person at my work and he said there is a service bulletin out on the car to replace the timing chain and tensioner. So I took it in and got it replaced. Now it does not make any noise when we turn it on. So anybody that has an 2011 equinox and it is making noise when you start it up or drive it. Take it in to get fixed it will be covered under warranty.
