great fishing in about 25 feet deep of water caught a lot of calicos and rockfish and sum sandis also hooked onto sum 4 to 5 foot tiger sharks bigger than last times post...................oh yea does any1 no where i can find sum mackrael cuz they aint at dana point

Nice Mcfadden. How did you catch the calico's and the sharks? What type of rig and what type of bait. And were you on a PB or a cattle boat? 25 feet of water is not typical of a cattle boat. what time of day? What do you need mackeral for?

To the best of my knowledge, if you want fresh mackeral just bust out your sabiki with super small strips of skwid. PEACE~!

well we caught the calicos on cut squid but they hammered the sardines all day and for the shars we used a whole fresh mackrael but we cut sum slits in it so the blood could slip out and our setup was hook on the bottom and a 3 ounce weight on the top and ur good 2 go hope 2 see u out there

yea leapard but in about 2 weeks were gonna try 2 find sum makos

How accessible is the area you are talking about with a kayak? were you fishing north or south of the harbor entrance? Along the breakwall or on boiler rock areas? Thanks for any info...Hektic

hand a left from the harbor and youll see a siries of apartments on the shoreline anchor up in that middle 1 and u should be good 2 go
