Talked to an "OldTimer" fishing buddy yesterday. He told me how he has caught a whole limit of trout on just a single worm. His secret? Keep "working worms" or the pieces in a separate can from the rest of your bait box. He believes that the half worms will decay during the day & kill off the rest of the baitbox. "Just his theory". OldTimers really do have a wealth of knowledge we can partake of if we just take time to listen. "
He also told me that he had bought himself a birthday present that day. A new/used, 12' aluminum boat, motor, & trailer to go fishing in. His old one just gave out, no real big-surprise since he bought it in 1965.
After about an hour he told me he had to get to bed so he could go fishing in his new boat today.
If I forgot to tell you that he turned 93 yesterday.
Thanks Grandpa, for sharing all the "fishing stories" BTW most were not stories...I was there for a lot of them.
