Late report.

When it comes to vacations I like many anglers cannot go for very long without wetting a line or two or three or maybe even a fourth time in 3 days. Yesterday, my family and I took a trip up to Morro Bay to experience the beauty and uniqueness of the estuary. As far the area goes it is something, but as for the water temperature I have a different opinion for that. Fishing-wise I'd say I did alright and so did my uncle and cousin.

Fish totals:

Me: 1 chucklehead, 1 grass bass, 1 Johnny Bass? (not sure on that one), one 12" rubberlip perch which snapped off when I tried to bounce it on 4lb, and hundreds of lizardfish
Uncle: 2 Rubberlips ranging from 8"-10"
Cousin: hundreds of lizardfish

You know. I think you're right. I do recall seeing some pics in the past with baby bocs in this coloration.

I don't think so. It does look too similar. Thanks for the post though.

It's a great place. I went back again today for a 1/2dayer out of Virg's and did quite well for slower conditions.

Yeah. It's either a Boc or a Johnny Bass, but my fish IDing skills are still telling me that it's a Johnny. That spot is what is making me think it's a Johnny.
