Spent last weekend fishing the Eastside. Caught my first goldens, at an undisclosed location high in the Sierra. Enjoy, you don't get to see beauty like this in trout often. They are incredibly wary fish, and they will surprise you with how hard they hit once you trigger them.

Caught plenty of brookies and browns hiking my way up the outlet stream and driving along the main fork to the trailhead. Managed a pair of nice sized Crowley fish on Monday, a 18" bow and a 20" brown. No photos, because the water was warm and with my camera in the car I didnt want to risk such beautiful fish trying to wrangle my phone out of its waterproof storage case. The bow completed my second Slam in a month. Speaking of which....here's a Lahontan cutt from the Upper O during my last trip at the start of the month that completed my first Slam.

Wish the drought situation wasn't so severe that I could be able to get one to go without heading too far into the GTW.

I'm assuming these were still water Goldens?

Thanks guys! These fish were actually in day hike range. They were creek fish, but not Fish Creek or anything roadside accessible (wanted to do Fish the next weekend but its low and hard on the fish when its that low).
