Back to squid back in the fish!

Switched back to squid on the double drop this morning for some good pre-work fishing

Swells were occasionally pretty big, but salad free so I cant complain.

Caught 5 fish in 1.5 hours, 3 Leos, 1YFC, and 1Shovel, plus lost about 3 others within 15 feet of the beach.

The most hilarious thing I wish I got a pic of was the smallest leo about ~8" somehow got to both my baits and was
double hooked the greedy little bugger!!!!

Not bad for 1.5 hours of fishing. Occasionally I do some pre-work fishing and it always makes the rest of the day better.

Completely agree, however, now as the work day gets into the afternoon I am starting to think about fishing again :) HAH!!!! I think I might have a problem as they say.

Can't go wrong with using squid when fishing in the ocean.

Next time the humbolt squid come around, try to get on a boat and get a few.
Cut the pieces into 1"x1" squares and use for bait. You can reuse them over and over again. :Wink:
