Lompoc area?

Hey guys!

I'm headed up to Lompoc for the weekend, and I'm hopping to get a few hours on the beach... Having pretty much no experience with surf fishing, I ask you guys for some areas to try out. I have read all the stickys, and I go through the surf posts pretty regularly. Any advice or experiences with this area would be greatly appreciated. Tight lines to all, and to all, a good bite...

Jalama Beach would be closer for you to try.

Just hope for no wind and have fun. Some big perch have been caught there in the past. I haven't fished it myself but have always wanted to.

Oh just a Heads up. Sunday south bound traffic will be impossible. So if you can stay an extra night or head south on some other highway you will be better off.
