Advice on the hot bite???

Hey all! So I have been on this site for a while but this is the first time posting. So me and my uncle as well as some other guys are heading outt this weekend to do some fishing out by san clemente island. I heard the bite has been good lately. I am always wary of the fishing reports posted on the landings websites. Haha. So does anyone know of some places that have been hot lately. Any info would be great.

One dude at the Marina came back from Clemente the other day and they had 1/2 dozen Yellows.
I didn't get any details. Saw a 3lb lobster running in 2' of water today on the rocks in broad daylight. Lol
